Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 was an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. In the final season of the show, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she participates in Passover seders.
